Joining us is straightforward

Apply for a place at our exceptional school and put your child on the path to a fantastic educational experience.

We have designed our admissions process to be as easy as possible and we will happily guide you every step of the way.

Entry to Charterhouse Square School starts at three years old. Children must turn three before 1st September of their admission year. Children may be registered from birth to the 13th May of the year preceding their admission year. Please see the timelines below.

Please only complete a registration form if your child was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020.

When you're ready to take the next step, simply complete the registration form and pay a fee of £150 (non-refundable) to:

This will enable us to start our admissions process to ensure that we can meet your child's needs. Forms need to be signed by both parents and may be returned by post or by email.


Places are allocated by a ballot drawn by the Headmistress, the School Registrar and the Assistant Director of Education from Cognita. We offer 52 places. Registered siblings automatically receive a place providing their brother or sister attends Charterhouse Square School at the time of the ballot and their first term of entry. Therefore it is only for the remaining places that the ballot is drawn.

Receive an offer

Successful applicants are sent an offer letter by first class post and invited to attend an Open Morning. Unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter asking if they wish for their child to remain on the waiting list.


On receipt of an offer letter, your child’s place is held pending receipt of the £6,000 Acceptance Deposit which must be paid by the date set below. Your child’s place is not secure until the deposit is received. Should your child not start with us for any reason whatsoever, your Acceptance or Nursery Deposit will be forfeited. Deferrals are not permitted.

Admissions procedure notes

Please note the below in reference to our admissions process. Our friendly admissions team will be on hand at any time during the process to help answer questions you may have.

  • You will receive confirmation by email once both the completed registration form and the payment are received. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please telephone the school as we cannot accept responsibility for lost registration forms or payments.

  • Acceptance or Nursery Deposit is made to secure your child’s place. This is held by us until your child leaves the school, at which point the deposit is refunded during the final term once your account has been settled in full. This refund is subject to the required notice period being given and completion of 6 terms should your child have started with us in the Nursery.
