On the 15th May all of the Star Room went on their residential to Bushcraft at Penshurst Place in Kent. They stayed in the woods for the whole week, sleeping in tents. It was a fun filled week learning everything about surviving in the wilderness, with lots of fun activities such as, making shelters, making animal traps, whittling, saving the teachers from a helicopter crash (using our first aid skills) and many more. This amazing trip would’t have been possible without Fiona, George, Luke and Michael who came with us and helped is along the way. One of our favourite moments was learning all the songs and roasting marshmallows by the fire while listening to scary stories. We split into two tribes, TBT (the best tribe) and The Legends and on one of the nights we did Tribes Got Talent. We also played Archery Tag where the two tribes were against each other and had to try to shoot each other.
Bushcraft was an amazing experience and one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
