Letter to Parents regarding next door!
08 February 2010Dear Parents
I am delighted to confirm that planning permission has finally been granted for our expansion next door and I would like to let you know how we intend to incorporate this wonderful additional space into the school.
The overall aim of this project is to reduce class sizes in the Upper House and we will therefore be introducing more Rainbow and Balloon classrooms which will reduce the numbers in these classes to between 15 and 20 children.
The Red classroom will become an additional Balloon Room with the Red Room children moving next door into a much larger area, which is not only far more appropriate for their age but also has the added advantage of being on the ground floor. The Star classroom will become an additional Rainbow Room with the Star pupils also moving next door into a larger area situated next to the new school library which will allow for far greater research work to be carried out.
In addition to the new school library, there will be a dedicated art/science room for the children which we hope will prove to be an enormous success. We are also taking the opportunity whilst we are making these changes to give the Jungle Room a complete makeover and introduce interactive whiteboards to many of the classrooms.
It is all incredibly exciting and work will start in the Easter holidays to ensure that everything is up and running for September. We have been extraordinarily lucky to have such a golden opportunity to improve the school in so many ways and I hope you will agree that these are very exciting times for Charterhouse Square School.
I am available all week should you have any queries and do please use the opportunity of the Open Day on Friday to catch me at any time.
Kind regards
Caroline
