Letter to Parents - April 2013
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Summer Term! We have lots to look forward to in the coming weeks, including a class performance of Hansel and Gretel, as well as Sports Day and a trip to the Science museum!
We are covering some more interesting topics for our humanities. We would be very grateful if you could kindly send in any information, artefacts, leaflets, postcards, posters and books you may have to contribute to our lessons.
Science
Characteristics of Materials
Light and Shadows
History
Ancient Egyptians- Mummies, Pharoahs, Gods and Goddesses, hieroglyphics, Egyptian homes, and The Nile are just some of the features we will be learning about.
Geography
Europe- We will be focussing on the countries France, Spain, Greece and Italy.
Please bring in your contributions clearly labelled with your child’s name if you would like them to be returned to you at the end of the topics.
Our swimming slot is Monday morning. As mentioned last term, please make sure that your child brings a towel, swimming costume, swimming hat and goggles on this day. It would also be most helpful if girls could avoid wearing tights.
Thank you for your continued support.
