Homework
Homework is considered an important part of your child's education. Those who have a sound homework ethic are invariably those who pass all their exams!
All children are provided with structured, individualised material to supplement and reinforce the academic syllabus. It is expected that where necessary, an adult will support them with their studies and mark the completed work. Teachers monitor the homework and will provide help if required.
Reading books are sent home each night and, if appropriate, are changed on a daily basis. Parents are asked to record what page they have reached and make any comments in the Reading Record Book. Children are expected to read for at least 15 minutes every night.

A spelling test is given every Friday from the Yellow Room and up. The spelling homework given on a Monday is set for the purpose of the test. Children are required to practise the spelling homework daily.
